Setting Analysis

The story is set at a Theme Park with tons of reseachers deveopling dinosaur eggs.  The setting of the story has various locations but they are all located amoung the park where the dinosaurs are being held.  The setting of the story plays a huge role in the movie.  It places everyone out of their comfort zones and makes them have to adapt to what is going on around them. It makes the characters grow and realize this was not a good idea attend the park.  The atmosphere helps the movie grow from just being about dinosaurs to somewhat scary and suspenseful.  The audience and the characters in the film do not know what is going to happen next, they are alone at the park with dangerous dinosaurs.

Character Analysis

In the flim Jurassic Park, John Hammond the owner of Jurassic Park changes throughout the flim.  At the beginning of the film Hammond was excited about the Park he created and wanted various people to experience it.  Hammond showed off his dinosaurs to impress Dr. Grant but he also showed off his laboratories to Dr. Malcolm who is a math wiz.  Hammond does a great job of convincing everyone that his park is safe and it is only for the good of society.  Soon enough his mind set changes due to various events.  First the security system shuts down leaving Hammonds grandchildren and guest out alone in the park.  Soon after the system shut down his guest are attacked by his many different creations of dinosaurs.  Hammond is very stressful and feels helpless that he cannot do a thing.  Once everyone dodged near death, they made it back to the home offices of the park.  Hammond's view changes instead of feeling somewhat responsible for putting everyone in danger, he feels that his park is still safe and they should not worry.  Hammond surprises me so much throughout the whole film because his emotions changed so much like one minute he is like this Park is amazing and then the next he doubles thinks his motives about the park.  Towards the end of the film the audience would think that Hammond would be done with the park but we soon learn that there is a seocond movie, where every one goes back to the park.  Hammond is a hard character to analysis but at the end of the day he is a greedy entreprener who wants it all.
